STA was founded in 2007 by Selahattin Tuysuz, with the aim of
integrating architectural design, sciences and philosophy. Throughout
academic studies and proceeding into the professional field, the architect’s
objective has been to provision the intellect and tectonics of his designs
with the data offered by biology, physics and mathematics; based on the
parametric order and by means of combining the artistic qualities of
architecture with the benefits of today’s technology. Aristotle, El-Harezmi,
Descartes, Leibniz, Weierstrass, Wolfram…The vast scientific and
philosophical legacy of countless scholars constitutes the fundamental
elements for STA’s architectural design research. Correlatively, the limits
of research based architecture do not allow any repetitions; requiring each
STA design to be innovative on its own right. Innovation and diversity are
necessary for the new architectural formation; this necessity keeps the
enthusiasm for architecture dynamic. STA’s architectural standpoint has
earned both national and international recognition; with works exhibited in many cities including London, Paris, Berlin, Delft, Graz, Minnesota and Istanbul.
